ST. LOUIS, MO — September 13, 2026 — LakeMapper, a St. Louis-based geospatial technology company focused on the private lake and pond market, has been selected to participate in the T-REX Founder Framework, an intensive 11-week, hands-on program designed to help early-stage founders build the skills, strategies, and resources needed to grow their businesses.
The in-person program, held at T-REX in downtown St. Louis, is particularly focused on founders working in geospatial technology and provides participants with guidance in areas including business strategy, operations, marketing, fundraising, and strategic partnerships.
Founded by Paul Langhorst in October 2025, LakeMapper combines detailed mapping of private lakes and ponds with property-owner and parcel information, giving lake management companies and other waterfront-focused businesses a powerful way to identify and market directly to property owners.
LakeMapper launched regionally in June 2026, initially mapping private lakes and ponds across 13 states. Since then, the platform has expanded to 48 states, geocoding more than 4 million private lakes, ponds, larger lakes, and reservoirs and associating them with more than 30 million property-owner parcels. The platform enables users to identify ponds and lakes within specific geographic areas, determine who owns them, and create targeted marketing lists that can be used for direct mail and other outreach campaigns.
Langhorst brings more than two decades of experience building technology companies. In 2002, he co-founded SchoolReach, an instant parent-contact system for K-12 schools. Under his leadership, SchoolReach grew to serve approximately 10% of the U.S. K-12 market before being successfully acquired by SchoolMessenger in 2014.
Building on St. Louis’ Geospatial Strength
LakeMapper’s participation in the Founder Framework builds on St. Louis’ position as one of the nation’s leading centers for geospatial technology and innovation.
St. Louis is home to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), which provides geospatial intelligence to support policymakers, military service members, intelligence professionals, and first responders. The region’s concentration of geospatial expertise, talent, research, and technology companies has helped establish St. Louis as a growing hub for geospatial startups and innovation.
T-REX is a nonprofit innovation, entrepreneurship, and workforce-development organization that provides programming, community, and flexible, affordable workspace for growing companies. T-REX is home to nearly 200 companies and innovation-support organizations and is a proud partner of the NGA. Collectively, T-REX companies have created more than 5,000 jobs in the St. Louis region.
“LakeMapper is at an exciting stage in its development, and the Founder Framework gives us an opportunity to sharpen our strategy and build the foundation for the next phase of growth,” said Paul Langhorst, founder of LakeMapper. “We’re especially excited to be doing that within St. Louis’ growing geospatial technology community and alongside other founders who are tackling challenging problems with innovative technology.”
During the 11-week program, LakeMapper will focus on refining its operations, strengthening its marketing strategy, expanding its service offering, and preparing for future fundraising and strategic partnerships.
